About Me
Welcome! My name is Razi Zarchy and my pronouns are he/him/his. I am a person who wears many hats. I worked as a school-based speech-language pathologist from 2011 to 2023, primarily (but not exclusively) with deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children of a wide range of ages, specializing in early intervention/preschool. I am a bilingual SLP and provide assessment and therapy services in English and American Sign Language (ASL).
I now work as a full-time lecturer and clinical instructor for California State University Sacramento (CSUS). I teach in both Communication Sciences and Disorders and American Sign Language and Deaf Studies.
In July 2020, I co-authored a family-centered, routine-based ASL curriculum called ASL at Home. It is available on our website if you would like to learn more about this project. We released the second edition of our curriculum in June 2023!
I graduated in August 2023 with my Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.
My next endeavor is to obtain a PhD in Education and Leadership from Pacific University Oregon. I began the program in August 2023 and hope to graduate in 2026.

Razi's Resources for Communication at Home
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, educators and clinicians began to share resources and tools for the change to distance learning. I compiled a large collection of resources for parents and families to support their deaf and hard of hearing children's communication and learning at home. I did not create any of these resources myself; this spreadsheet provides direct links to resources by others.
